Obtaining a clear understanding of my client’s real estate objectives is the foundation of ensuring that I provide excellent service as an effective advisor and consultant in achieving their desired home buying or home selling goals. My method of working with clients involves an initial meet and greet consultation during which we discuss the clients real estate objectives/goals, briefly go over the home buying or home selling process, determine where the client is in the process, determine a strategy specific to the client, and set realistic expectations on how we can work together to implement the strategy and achieve the desired outcome.
As background, briefly, I obtained my Maryland ReaI Estate License in April of 2009 and initially used my expertise as a probate property consultant through which I assisted Personal Representatives in identifying and weighing various options towards liquidation of inheritance properties -- helping to position the property to sell via traditional listing or by quick liquidation through connecting them with investors ready to make a cash purchase.
I later transitioned into assisting first-time homebuyers in making a solid home purchase within their lifestyle and budgetary needs. I enjoy informing them about and guiding them through the many moving parts of a home purchase. From the beginning credit/finance preparation, purchase offer negotiation, and on through the final walk-through, closing, and handing over of the keys to their first home. It is satisfying knowing that the house I helped them purchase will ultimately become their home.
I also appreciate the challenges associated with preparing and selling houses on the open market. My expertise lies in knowing the Laurel markets and educating sellers about their local market, how it can impact the sale of their property, developing a marketing plan specific to their situation and time-frame, and actually helping the seller manage the process of selling one of their most important assets –their home.
I value continued education and growth such that I invest liberally in education and experiences that broaden my understanding of various aspects of effectively working with people, successfully managing the real estate purchase or sale process, and to stay current.
I was born and raised in NE Washington DC, raised my two sons in Silver Spring, Maryland, and over the past 10 years, I’ve really enjoyed living in Laurel --a growing city ripe with diversity in people, businesses, and communities. Its unique location includes portions of Prince Georges, Anne Arundel, and Howard, Counties. And, with access to the beltway in 8 minutes one could visit either the National Harbor in Washington, DC or the Baltimore Harbor, in Baltimore, Maryland, within 30 minutes. Laurel, Maryland is an ideal place to live. I’ve enjoyed the experience of living in Laurel so much that I have primarily focused my real estate business toward those seeking to sell, buy, or invest in Laurel real estate. Other areas of service include (but not necessarily limited to) Beltsville, Bowie, Greenbelt, Lanham, Glendale, and parts of Hyattsville/Cheverly/Landover in PG County; Severn, Odenton, and Crofton in Anne Arundel County; and Columbia, Jessup, and Elkridge in Howard County; Burtonsville, Silver Spring, and Wheaton in Montgomery County.
